Brynn discovered Mario Kart Wii one evening. I do not remember how it started, but she has will bring us the wheel and say "I want to play game!" Which means Mario Kart Wii. She loves playing with me because I always drive the princess car. Here is a short video of what happens... This obsession has begun to die down this last week but before this, she would ask almost daily for us to play.
Literally the title is what she said to me after she did it. "I colored my face" Which is followed by me "Should you color your face?" Brynn "No, only on paper!" This happens everytime she colors somewhere. Same conversation over and over...Hopefully she quits coloring on things soon. And hopefully real soon with coloring on herself. The day before this picture was taken she had colored the bottom of her feet green.
I was supposed to work Thanksgiving, but got to stay home on call all day!!! Matt and I were waiting all day with dread that the phone would ring and I would have to go to work. Luckily, we got to drive to my Aunt's house (an hour away) for Thanksgiving dinner. We had to wait until close to 5 to leave, and my Aunt held supper until we got there. Thank you Family!!!! That was awesome! So here are some pics from that night.
Brynn and Jonah loved the iphone my cousin's girlfriend Angela had. They hung out in her lap after dinner for a long time, I had to try to get a cute picture.. Here is what I got. Angela attempting to get Brynn to look at the camera.
Brynn's one look at the camera (Notice Jonah absorbed by the iphone I don't think her changes his position at all in any of the photos).
Brynn loved Angela. Here is the last try I had of getting a photo of them.
Daddy got to meet Brynn's new cousin (and our new niece) at Thanksgiving, Olive Elizabeth. Brynn loves her as well.
I had forgotten to post that Brynn got a big girl bed before Thanksgiving. We figured since she is potty trained we should get her a bed soon. The bed is my mother's first bed that she had. So we picked it up from my parents house and brought it home and set it up in Brynn room. We thought it was going to be an adjustment, but oh Brynn just decided to suprise us. Matt set it up in her room. She ran up there and said "My bed" over and over. She then refused to sleep in her crib that night. So it took us till 1000 pm to get her to sleep that first night, but since then she has slept perfectly in it. Ya to being a big girl!
Brynn has been one of Daddy's Sabres biggest fans. She began the season knowing Daddy was at "football" and she is ending the season saying "Daddy go coaching." "Daddy coaches the Sabres". She has been to all but two games I believe this season and has done well at the games. These pictures are from the State Semi-final game. It was nice to have a game in the afternoon without having to push Brynn to stay up late.
Here she is watching the game intently.
Celebrating with the fans after the Sabres had a good play. Brynn cheers besides saying what we tell her to say include "Run fast, Don't fall down." "Go Sabres", "Go Andrew" "Go Matt" and "Go Daddy coaching!" (the Andrew cheer is for our daycare ladies son named Andrew who plays on the team).
Jabbing at Papa (my dad) with the Sabre finger..
I just love how big her eyes are this pic has nothing to do with the game
Lucky Brynn at this game her Uncle Dave and cousin Jonah came. We took them out to wander during halftime. They held hands and walked like this for the whole trip away from where we sat. When we turned around to come back it was a running game, but I thought this was so cute. Brynn kept talking "Jonah holding my hand".
Well Happy Thanksgiving everyone!! Hopefully I will post some pics from today later. This will be Brynn's first year really eating the dinner. She picked at parts of it last year. We'll see how she does... and what she decides she likes. From the non-picky eater she was when she ate baby foods she now has some staples and doesn't deviate far from them.. So I'll post with what she found good later.
Brynn has taken off early into her twos... She is now constantly telling us "I do it myself." "Mommy/Daddy go away!" It is adorable to hear her say this well at the same times annoying when you really need to go somewhere and Brynn is trying to do it herself. We try to let her do stuff herself as often as possible, but sometimes the task is either not safe, or we really don't have the time for her to do it herself and then we get to see the tantrums... So far they are just kicking and crying.. not to bad and we have not encountered them that often... Ahh the joys of raising a toddler.
Here is one of her tasks she likes to do on her own "I washin my hands."
Brynn hauls the chair from the dining room over to the sink and then will proceed to play in the water until one of us makes her stop.
I just thought her face looked so old in this picture
Matt brought Brynn to our grocery store/strip mall Halloween celebration. Brynn got a little practice for going trick or treating. Unfortunately I had to work this day, so I had to miss out on all the cuteness... But I recorded this video before I had to leave for work.

I am trying to catch this thing up as I was trying last time, so you may have to go back to Oct 4th to view all the old blogs.. Make sure you look through all the Oct 4ths because I started a bunch of entries that day so they will all be dated Oct. 4th... enjoy
Brynn has been in underwear since last Friday and it is going AWESOME!!! She has had only one accident since Friday and that was Sunday before bedtime!!! I never thought I would have our baby potty trained before 2, but I guess she can continue to overachieve!!! She continues to amaze us with her achievements everyday!
This is Maisy's first trip out in snow... Since we have had snow two days in the last week. We were pumped because Maisy loved it!!! She kept wanting to go out all morning the first day we had snow. She would stand out there and eat it. When I took her out later in the evening in the full yard she loved running through the crunchy snow. We are so happy she is not like Ella who will try to remove all her paws from the snow and just stand there on two feet shivering and not go to the bathroom. We at least will only have to deal with one troublesome/slow dog (Ella) outside this winter.
Brynn loves to cheer the Vikings on. We "re-created" the original moment, so you have to combine the videos to get a glimpse of Brynn's reactions to the touchdown... Or how Brynn reacts to any good happenings in sporting events...
When our new blinds came I could not help but to introduce Brynn to the joy of bubble wrap. Since it was the "big" kind I decided it would be way better to have her pop it with her feet... You can see how much she enjoyed it.
Brynn apparently knows how to turn on our CD player in our living room. Neither Matt nor I has played the CD player since we moved it to the living room so we have no idea how she figured it out, or even that she knew where the CD player was. However, we came in from outside yesterday and she told me she wanted to dance. And got the CD player turned on and the music going before I knew it. Here's a little bit of our dancing girl. The kicks she learned how to do while watching the dance teams at football games. She has improved a lot since the first time she saw them...
I had to post both of these pictures right away. Brynn just asked me to take her picture with Ella. I did not take her seriously but then she began to insist by saying cheese over and over.. So here is Brynn's and Ella's picture per Brynn's request. I told you she loves her puppy!
I will try to post everything I have to be up to date soon. But here is a quick video to show you what has been going on in our house. Brynn loves her puppy Ella and by love I mean she does not leave her alone... I have another video of this to post and plenty of pics to show her love for her puppy...
Our first food of the day was corn on the cob. Here is Brynn's progression of eating the corn on the cob for the first time. Her first bite, she was unsure what to thinkA couple of bites later Mom was holding it but we would not let it get away from us too far.
To Brynn holding it on her own and she was no longer willing to share with her Mom.
The Giant slide. Brynn loved it. Every hill brought a new round of giggles. Here is Mom and Brynn on the far right side of the pic.
Brynn and dad in the center of the pic. Kind of far up...
Petting the baby pig!!! The Miracle of Birth center was a hit. Brynn got to pet all kinds of baby animals. She was in heaven.
Stacking blocks to waste time.. while Mom and Dad were busy
Pausing for a belly show. Aren't I cute?
Look how tall her tower became.
On the Merry Go Round with Daddy. We are pumped.
Action shot. The Merry go round was the end of the day.. It was fun and Brynn was very ready for the car ride home. I believe she fell asleep shortly after we got in the car..
I'm trying to catch up on all my entries that need to be added. I added one before the last entry from the Children's Museum and I am working on adding what I need to to get caught up. Sorry for the delay...
Brynn just smiling away!!!I believe this would've been "Mommy, Me see." Brynn likes to look at the camera now and whenever we bring it out she wants to see it and not have her picture taken.
Look at her tower!!! This afternoon we made a lot of towers but this is the tallest one. I believe it feel on the next block Brynn put up there.
Obsessed with stickers... why not cover our legs?
She even shared some with Mommy
Picture Day with Daddy for football. Brynn would not look or smile at the camera. So it's a good picture of Matt...
Watching the team!!! Waiting for the season to begin
When I changed her diaper before leaving for the field for picture day. This is what I found. She decided coloring her belly button seemed like a good idea. She then would show it to anyone who asked at picture night... It was pretty funny I just had to take a picture.
We went to the Children's Museum with my mom, or Brynn's Grammie. It was a very fun filled day and Brynn had a great time. Here are some pics from the day.
Mommy in the turtle shell..
Of course the little one had to try it out too since it was so funny when Mommy was doing it.
Our little beaver
This was the biggest hit of the day. It was all these tiny tunnels that kids could crawl in like ants. I was in there with her just to keep an eye on her and could not keep up with her. She loved it!!! I think the $7 we paid to go was well spent for this area. I wish I had more pictures but you could not get her to stay in one place in here.
Our busy climber. The coolest part of the toddler room for her. This and the bridge..
Clifford exhibit - driving the boat
Delivering mail
Playing the drums.. Brynn's favorite area of the Clifford exhibit.
