Adventures in Dog Water

So, I taught Brynn this "great" trick of dipping her finger into things and putting her finger in her mouth to "taste" things. Mostly, I tried to teach her this so she would be able to get whatever food she is playing with on her tray off of her fingers and into her mouth. This "trick" has led her to dip her finger into any sort of water and taste it. Brynn is obssessed with dipping her finger into the dog water bowl and performing her trick. (she has also tried to do this in the toilet bowl, the tub, and the fountain at Mexican Village). Needless to say her obession can cause quite a mess when she decides to taste the dog water... Walking away with the rag used to clean up our mess

Playing innocent... I just found this rag.. I have no idea why you guys are following me around. By the way have you seen my doll stroller?

Here you can see the mess B can create.. Notice the pant legs

Hey guys!!! What's going on?

Our New Bed

We got a new bed for Matt's Birthday!!! I had to take these pictures last night when Brynn fell asleep there. Since I worked nights this weekend I believe Brynn has slept more in our bed than I have.

You have to love this face, so peaceful.

Birthday Princess

I just found these pictures when I downloaded our camera I had forgotten about them. Brynn received this outfit from her Illinois relatives for her birthday celebration. We had her wear it the day she brought treats to daycare!!! We think the hat makes this outfit. (You'll have to ignore her red runny nose in the pictures.. poor thing had a horrible cold.)

Some of our Tricks

This morning during breakfast Brynn was super chatty so I decided to try to get a video of her saying all her words and doing her tricks. I got her to say all the words, except Mom. I think she only likes to say mom when it's needed or I'm doing something she doesn't like. The last 30 seconds of the video I'm trying to get her to do her tricks.. but am unsuccessful. Hope you enjoy

A day in the life

I just thought I would post a bunch of pictures of what we do or rather may do in a day...
We love our puppy

This face says it all... "what should I do next?"

Getting Fit with the Wii

Enjoying our rocker from Christmas.. Notice the cake pan in the corner of the shot. It is our favorite toy for the past two weeks. I am trying to catch her when I have the camera with her wearing it over her head. I will post it when I get the picture.

Dad's shorts... She enjoys trying to put on clothes, hats or whatever she finds. She's so proud..

We discovered the hangers yesterday. This is the first moment she started playing with them. She then disappeared around the corner with two hangers and I went to find her to discover she had put on over her head...

I removed it after taking pictures..

And of course food time... this was after finishing lunch and having part of mom's oreo for dessert.

Xmas and Birthday Stash

I hadn't posted a picture yet of all the fun toys Brynn made out with at Christmas and her birthday. I believe this picture was taken the day after we had gotten home from my parents house after celebrating Christmas. This is only a few of the things she received but this is Brynn's new play area in the house...

catch up...

I'm trying to catch everything up from over the holidays. We were so busy with the birthday celebrations in our family to celebrating Christmas to my funky work schedule to Matt and I trying to get our kitchen painted before Matt had to go back to school. (it's almost done and Matt's back at school today.) So if you want to follow the blogs in order you're going to have to go down to the first one from today and work backwards... I'm almost up to date...

The Next Morning

That big box which required help from our cousin Jonah was a table and chairs. Here we are, already climbing onto the chairs. How long will it be until she starts standing up on them?

This is the chair from Mom and Dad.. Brynn lately has been wanting to climb in and out of chairs, couches, beds, etc. So, we decided to buy her her own Brynn sized chair for her birthday.
This time we are dressed playing at our table with some of our little people.

Brynn's Birthday Party

We celebrated Brynn's birthday a couple of days early so we could get everything in between mom's work schedule and Christmas. We had both sets of grandparents and Brynn's Aunt Maggie and Uncle Dave and cousin Jonah over for her birthday. Her cousin Jonah was a good help with opening presents.

This was a big present that definitely required help. While helping unwrap presents Jonah taught Brynn the big trick of present opening... if it's clothes, you can just toss them aside. The real presents are the toys. Unfortunately we do not have any pictures of this, but it was hilarious.

This picure was put it to try to get you a glimpse of how into our baby dolls Brynn is. She will walk around with the box and pat it. However.. she does not have any patience to let anyone hold the doll for any amount of time so you can actually get the baby out of the package.

This is a little bit of our meltdown as mom is trying to take the baby out of the box. Grandpa Bob has an excellent video of us swinging our feet in frustration. I will try to get my hands on it so I can post it.

Here is our beautiful cake and Brynn's Birthday cupcake.

Mom and Dad blowing out the candles. Brynn's face is like this is awesome!!!

Brynn just loved the frosting.

Family pic for the birthday.

Too much party... Ready for bed

All in all the day was an awesome time. Brynn received some really good gifts which she was pumped to see the next morning when she woke up.

Our First Trip to Build a Bear

During our Christmas shopping we decided to stop by Build a Bear. Matt really wanted Brynn to make the Christmas mooses they had. We had Brynn all pumped about building the moose until she saw the other stuffed animals. As she walked down the row, she saw the Hello Kitty, grabbed the Hello Kitty, tucked it into her chin and started walking away from us. Needless to say the moose was forgotten.

We missed the picture of Brynn choosing the Hello Kitty over the Christmas Moose we were trying to get her to choose, but her she is kissing her heart to go in her Hello Kitty.

Here she is pushing the peddle to stuff her kitten.

There was a little bit of frustration mixed in when we couldn't hold the kitty, during the whole process. Those of you who have seen her with her baby dolls would understand... Here we are though happy to have our Hello Kitty. Leave it up to our daughter to choose the girliest thing in the store as the one thing she wants. "Isn't she so pretty?"
