A day at the Water park

Since our work party when we went to a splash pad I have been promising Brynn we would go back.  We had the perfect oppurtunity one hot August afternoon so off we went!  I have to say this trip Brynn became my braver girl.  She hates when her face gets wet, but today she was all about getting into every thing she could.  Cailin loves the splash pad and crawls right in.  She throws/crawls/walks herself right into the middle of the fountains without a care in the world if she will come out breathing on the other end, in other words she takes in tons of water because she has not a care in the world water is all over her face!!!  We have to watch her carefully!  But she LOVES WATER!

Here is a video of B at the park.  She has become obsessed with trying to do the Monkey bars.  This video is her mostly on her own going across.  She was pumped!

The Lake Part 2

Here are some more pictures of the Lake this year!  This year at the lake my oldest brother Pat, Cristy, and their daughter Eli came.  It was so nice to be able to see them and let Brynn and Cailin get to know their cousin who does not live by us.

The Lake 2011

The lake this year was so much fun with two girls to keep us busy!  Both girls love the water and we tried to be down there as much as possible!  Brynn learned how to doggie paddle with her new life jacket, and Cailin soaked up the sun in her float.  Both girls also enjoyed playing in the sand.  Brynn played  with water and sand while Cailin just made a mess of herself with the sand.  Thank goodness our resort has a nice beach to keep us occupied...

Brynn and Annika in the sand.. They spent a long time bringing water up onto the beach in buckets and pouring it out, as far as I could tell.  I'm sure in their minds it was much more complicated.

Here you can see Brynn's fancy lifejacket that let her swim more in the water and  allowed her to learn how to doggie paddle. I don't think she's quite ready to go without a lifejacket, but hey.. she's at least figuring it out.

Happy 3rd of July

A busy day, the day before the 4th, in our household.  To begin the day, Cailin woke me up, she nursed, then came downstairs to play as I wrote in her baby book..  I was working away merrily when I see a little bare bum coming my way.  Cailin had been standing on the other side of the toy box next to me and somehow took her diaper off while talking and chewing/sucking away on one of her sister's toy necklaces and legos. I was watching her closely, but did not notice she had gotten her diaper off.  To make matters worse, she pooped after taking her diaper off.  I guess this girl will always have clothes on from now and and will not be allowed to be in a diaper only.

Then there was some outside fun with Brynn's Slipe and Slide and Cailin's baby pool!!

 Cailin trying out the slipe and slide.  C is our little water baby!  We brought her to the splash pad and she was all over the place.  So it was no suprise she was interested in what the big girls were doing today.

This video was taken about 2 weeks ago. Cailin has been pulling up to standing since 7 months and has been doing an excellent job cruising around furniture.  This was the first time I handed her the stroller!  She took right off.  We have a month to go to see if she will walk before her sister did.
