Wind, Wind and more wind

We had an awfully windy day this past Tuesday. The day started with Brynn going to daycare and me running to my parents house to get the dogs hair cut. For those who are unfamiliar with my parents house, we do not get cell phone reception there. When the dogs were done and I was leaving my parents house, I saw a text message telling me Brynn's house had blown into the road. For those of you who don't remember or haven't viewed this blog for that long here is a picture of Brynn's house.
Needless to say I was stuck an hour away and had no idea when this message was sent and if her house was still in the road. I called my neighbor who had sent me the message.. She said she gathered the pieces... (oh no pieces) and put them in her garage. Turns out only one wall of her house is connected to anything. In the picture below we are seeing the back wall of the front of the house, this is the wall that is connected. The wall you see on the left side of the house is not attached, it is only supporting the roof in our garage.

In this picture if you look closely you can see the screws that were attached to the roof, the wind stripped all of these screws...

So, I came home, got Brynn from daycare and had the whole evening/night with the girls because Matt had a football game. Brynn attempted to sleep with her dog Ella, because she was scared of the wind. (she kept calling it thunder). And eventually our power went out at 10:00. Bed ended up happening at 10 pm for everyone in Mom's bed with a movie playing on the computer until it died. Brynn did love having flashlights and getting to shine them everywhere. And I am happy we had just bought flashlights that weekend and could locate them when the power went out.

Some videos...

Thought I should post a video of each kid. Here is Cailin batting at her monkey toy. I believe this video was taken at 4-5 weeks old. And then there is Brynn singing along with her favorite singer of the moment, Taylor Swift. You might have to listen carefully for her murmurings, she wouldn't sing very loudly once she saw the camera.

Here she is...

I figured I better getting posting since our new baby girl is now 6 weeks old, Cailin Marie here she is...

First bath... she did not enjoy it
Brynn seeing her for the first time
B helping out the nurse... making sure she is treating her baby sister right
Holding Cailin for the first time
Daddy's 3 girls now...
First family shot
After gymnastics, B holding Cailin

Getting dressed to go home
This is actually Brynn in the car seat when we were leaving the hospital
and... Cailin leaving the hospital. I wish we had the two girls from the same distance so the comparison could be better....

Dance Party at the Darlings

Here are Brynn's new dance skills... The sweater she has on she picked out all by herself at the store. It arrived in the mail today and she put it on to show her dad. We have a previous video of her dancing to this same song back in December of 2009... I can't figure out how to link it or I would have.

Brynn's bike riding

Brynn got a bike earlier this spring. It took her about 2 weeks and then she had it figured out. She is a speed demon on that bike... Typically she is way ahead of us while we walk behind her. She always wears her helmet, and says "No owies because I had my helmet on" when she falls off of her bike!

Anna's Wedding in New Mexico

My cousin who is 24 days younger than me got married this past May in New Mexico. I would say quite a few of my mom's side of the family loaded up into our cars and took the long drive down there to help Anna celebrate. It was a long drive, but gave Brynn and us to meet Baby Elena (Eli). I have posted mostly pics from the weddings and Brynn here, but I can post some of our other pictures from the trip later..

Brynn and Jonah before the wedding.... excited!
Champagne toast... the kids got sparkling grape juice and loved it!
Yum cake!
Brynn's dance partner. I do not know this little boy's name but he loved to dance just as much as Brynn does

Brynn loved being able to hold Baby Eli... Here we are setting her up to hold her
