Trouble with our Hat!!

I heard cries of anger when I was in the kitchen last evening and I walked to Cailin and discovered this... No wonder she was mad!

A quick recovery!!!

Bring on the snow

The videos are somehow posted side by side.. I wanted them in the order they happened, but I guess you all can just click for yourselves. The first video actually the second one in the post, or the one where Brynn is standing. These are videos from Brynn's first time out playing in the snow this year. Brynn loved it and now continuously asks us to play in the snow.

Cailin 3 months

I thought I would do a little month by month update of the little one... but since I haven't got it accomplished yet, I guess I will start at 3 months. Cailin still fits into 0-3 months clothing, but I believe she will be outgrowing them soon. I do put her in some of her 3-6 month clothing, especially her new outfits just because it is fun to add some more variety to her wardrobe. I know Brynn was out of 0-3 months by the time she reached this age, this is so far supporting my theory that Cailin will be smaller than Brynn (at least weight wise). Let's see... Cailin is cooing a lot, she has rolled over from her tummy to her back (very rare, but it has happened on a few occasions.), she enjoys tummy time and is not fussy at all on her tummy, and she sleeps very well at night, giving me a 6-7 hour stretch at some point during the night (one night she even slept 10 hours).
Cailin does not enjoy taking bottles, unlike her sister. Matt had the first run with her when I went back to work on nights last week. The first night she slept almost the whole night and cried and cried and only took an ounce when she woke up at 6 am. Then the second night she took 3 ounces with a big fight before bed and then Matt says at 3am she took 3 ounces like a champ. Our daycare lady had the next fight with her this past Monday. Cailin fought until about noon before she finally accepted that Jane was her food source and she needed to take the bottle if she wanted anything in her tummy. She says after she figured that out it was good.
The other thing I wanted to say about her is she is a good communicator. She will let you know if she doesn't like something with her coos, and if you don't listen she will turn beat red and scream! Then when you do what she wants she will smile at you. Our daycare lady realized how right I was when I said she's a good communicator. She said she had never seen a girl turn so purple while crying and then one second later when Jane did what Cailin wanted she smiled at her.
Cailin loves to smile and is very ticklish on her tummy... I can hardly wait to hear her laugh. Here are some pictures of her at her 3 month photo shoot (by me..)
I have 2 month pictures by this monkey that I will post when I get them downloaded onto the computer. I could not find our other camera this morning.

This is the chaos I was working with..
And I posted this because this is the outfit she came home from the hospital in, and I have a picture of her up here on it as well at that time. This is one of the 0-3 month outfits I was talking about and I figure this is one of the last times she will be wearing it.

Days at Home

I thought I should update with happeneings in our house the last two months or so... So I will give you the rundown from the day we came home from the hospital until Halloween since Halloween pics are already posted.

This pic is actually taken before we had Cailin... Brynn was just being goofy... if you notice she has her new sandals on her feet with the hanger still on them
This too is before Cailin was born, this was Brynn's packed bag in case she ended up at a grandparents house while we were at the hospital. Brynn found it and put all or her clothes on her smart bike. She thought it was hilarious
I would say this is immediately after we got home... Look how happy she is. When we (matt, I and Cailin) got home Brynn was waiting for us. I was the first one headed into the house. Brynn ran past me and was screaming where's the baby. We can see who is now number 1 in Brynn's eyes.

Just random pics from random days

Brynn was sick when Cailin was about 3 weeks old and had to due nebulizer treatments. This here is her dragon face mask. She also has a fish face.
Daddy and Cailin

Again, we're holding her
Cailin is a month old in this picture
I love this girl!!!
Playtime for C, made into storytime by Brynn. She can't seem to let her be on her own.
My pretty, pretty princess
Holding her yet again
Cailin will someday hate me for this, but look closely and you can see all the hair this little girl has on her back and shoulders (the shadow-y parts on her back is hair)
Bath time
Another storytime
This series of pictures are taken when the girls are similar in age. Cailin is 45 days old and Brynn is 49 I believe...

Annual Halloween Video

I posted a video last year of Brynn if you look back through the blog, I can not get the link to work. Look back for super cuteness if I say so myself. AND, so here is this year's video.

Halloween

Halloween was fun this year with two little ones. Brynn was supposed to be a butterfly (the first costume we bought). She told us about a day after we bought it she wanted to be a pirate and a butterfly, so we kept both costumes. Brynn ended up only being a pirate. Oh well, at least we can re-use the costume if Cailin will be a butterfly, or maybe it will still fit B next year. We dressed our little C as a monkey. She clings to you whenever you hold her. So, the costume was rather fitting for her. In fact while trick-or-treating, little C fell asleep clinging to me. The pictures were taken after we returned from trick-or-treating, and B refused to wear her hat, so the outfit is not really complete.
The closest to a smile I can get on camera. The girl does smile although she is stingy with them. She will give you multiple when you're kissing her, but it's hard to kiss her then get the camera to take the picture. So, here is the best I can get.
I lied, we must've gotten the hat on for her solo shot.

Carving (mom's) her pumpkin Thursday night. Going in for the big grab...
This stuff is slimy...
And, I love it!
Carving the last two pumpkins Halloween morning.
Finished projects, Dad's pumpkin
Mom and Brynn's pumpkins. Brynn's real pumpkin is the bigger one, but she actually picked out the designs for both so mom was out a pumpkin.
